Has anyone ever tried to get out some Horses from the EP1. Would be interesting to know if there is anything possible on the D14?
Cheers

It's hard enough to release power from the D16... I don't think you'll get much from tuning it.
Your best bet to make it faster is to fit some lightweight 16" wheels with low profile rubber to help acceleration and strip the hell out of your car to lighten it.

I know, tuning a D14 leads to nowhere, but its all about the fun!

We'll see about that... I searched the internet looking for a turbo'd EP1 but with no succes.
I guess it doesn't exist,
yet...
I'm opening a thread trying to turbo my EP1. The aim is to make it so cheap yet decent, a D14 will finally be worth tuning!
If I fail... lol, that means I screwed my car and will cost me all my savings

True about the vtec I not have, but maybe you can use the maps already programmed into your emanage which will probably save you from severe headaches loco
The older d14 blocks 96-00 civic should be burn proof up to 200hp, or sure 180hp. No way I am aiming that high cause I really don't wanne prove anything and certainly don't wanne wreck the engine.

civic ep1 doesn´t have ECU it´s only some sensors
forget about tuning the EP1 it´s better to sell it, save some money nd buy an EP3
civic ep1 really suck I have the same problem, much weight and no power
