Hi!

Has anyone ever tried to get out some Horses from the EP1. Would be interesting to know if there is anything possible on the D14?

Cheers

NOS? :D
It's hard enough to release power from the D16... I don't think you'll get much from tuning it.
Your best bet to make it faster is to fit some lightweight 16" wheels with low profile rubber to help acceleration and strip the hell out of your car to lighten it.

I´m on this! :D With the resonator box removed, Header and Catback i noticed a gain in torque in the mid and high rev range. The Throttlebody from the D17 should fit and give a small touch up. After that, remapping the ecu would improve the whole thing.

I know, tuning a D14 leads to nowhere, but its all about the fun!

I'll try and prove otherwise... I'm intending to start a project on my EP1 with low costs and good power increase!

We'll see about that... I searched the internet looking for a turbo'd EP1 but with no succes.
I guess it doesn't exist,

yet...

I'm opening a thread trying to turbo my EP1. The aim is to make it so cheap yet decent, a D14 will finally be worth tuning!

If I fail... lol, that means I screwed my car and will cost me all my savings

turbo'ed ep1 should actually be easier than ep2, your ecu doesn't piss about with vtec so should be easier to set up for a turbo :P (you wont be able to boost as much though  )

Price for the parts and installation will be about 3000€uros, about 2500GBP. I would not go higher than 130Hp.

dont know for now. My tuner said, that it would cost around 3000€, but i dont know what parts he would choose. Maybe a Garrett GT25R on 0.3-0.5 bar or something like that.

3000€ is realistic but I'm not intending to have it installed by a tuner and buying all new stuff from any reputated high performance brands.

True about the vtec I not have, but maybe you can use the maps already programmed into your emanage which will probably save you from severe headaches loco

The older d14 blocks 96-00 civic should be burn proof up to 200hp, or sure 180hp. No way I am aiming that high cause I really don't wanne prove anything and certainly don't wanne wreck the engine.
